Porto is full of amazing views which makes it so special. There are so many places to visit that sometimes some of them end up being forgotten and kept in a drawer that accumulates all the moments we wanted to live and didn’t. 

On the days when the rain does not welcome us with its presence, there are plenty of places where you can stop to admire and just capture a landscape that so soon will not leave your mind, like Miradouro da Vitória, Passeio das Virtudes, (Jardim do Morro and Miradouro da Serra do Pilar). 

But today we are going to talk about Crystal Palace Gardens, one of the most breathtaking views in Porto and how you can enjoy it in many ways.

Jardins do Palácio de Cristal, as we call it in portuguese, is a pleasant green space located in the city center and covers an area of 8 hectares. Because it is on the top of a hill you will see a couple of stunning views over the Douro river. That makes this spot one of the best to watch the sunset, so get yourself some space in your memory card, because there is no doubt you’re going to take a lot of pictures.

A sort of oasis amid the hustle and bustle of the city, it contains pathways lined with beautiful gardens, protected by fountains and sculptures that culminate in a landscape worthy of a picnic day with your favorite people. 

Inside the Crystal Palace Garden is located Almeida Garrett library and also the Super Bock Arena, one of the biggest concert halls in the country. The entrance is free for all those who want to visit, but don’t miss an opportunity if you have any chance to watch a concert while you’re staying in the city so you can have the experience in your best.
